Pre-Press Info

"Prepress" is the process of converting the content of publication from the form in which it was originally created to the form in which it can be printed. Prepress includes page composition, proofreading, proofing, colour separation, etc.

Graphic Design

Our graphic design capabilities are yet another advantage of our prepress services. The graphic designers at Dreamworks Media are proficient in the latest design applications, and ensure that you receive the most creative and visually stimulating pages that are designed to capture the attention of your readers.

Proofing

At Dreamworks Media, we can supply you with high quality and accurate ink jet proofs or digital proofs being the preferred method of proofing via email in pdf format.

Scanning

Our prepress services also include comprehensive scanning services. We have the expertise and technology to handle scanning for both monotones and colour halftones. We currently use flatbed scanners and drum scanners in Dreamworks Media for scanning purposes.

Software

We support most software packages and can support most file formats, i.e. eps, pdf files etc.

Providing Your Files

We can accept files sent on a wide range of 'hard' media as well as electronically.

'Hard' Media

We can accept the following 'hard' media by post or in person.
3 1/2" Floppy Disc - Iomega Zip drive disks CDs/DVDs Recordable and Re-recordable and several media card types.

Electronic Media

If you would like to send files to us electronically we recommend that they are zipped first. This is particularly important for Apple Mac and large files on any platform.
